The cramped and sweaty halls of Comic-Con International in San Diego will be the center of The Walking Dead universe next week.

The first and foremost focus at the San Diego Convention Center will be on the huge Hall H The Walking Dead panel, where we’ll get our first extended glimpse of season five.

The panel guests will include Andrew Lincoln, Norman Reedus, Steven Yeun, Lauren Cohan, Danai Gurira, Melissa McBride, Chad Coleman and Michael Cudlitz, along with executive producer and show runner Scott Gimple, executive producers Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd and Dave Alpert, and special-effects makeup supervisor and executive producer Greg Nicotero, with moderation from Talking Dead host Chris Hardwick.

Expect the guests to talk about season four, with some juicy tidbits about season five. This is also where The Walking Dead traditionally unveils a trailer for Season Five.

The panel will begin July 25 and run from 12:20 to 1:20 p.m. PT.

That’s just the start, though. You can also spend way, way too much money on The Walking Dead merchandise at the con, which runs July 24-27. Or, if you’re not going to Comic-Con, you can spend even more money trying to buy this limited edition stuff on e-Bay later.

Comic-Con exclusive The Walking Dead merch highlights include:

Lucille Replica

This miniature replica of Lucille, Negan’s lovingly-named baseball bat, from Skybound Entertainment and October Toys. $40 and limited to 2,500 made.

Both-Ezekiels

An exclusive Ezekiel figure from McFarlane Toys, with a black and white variant, both $25. There’s also a very limited edition Ezekiel shirt, with his trademark star pattern, for $40. Only 500 shirts will be made.

Funko-SDCC-walking-dead-herschel-bda19

A Funko Pop! vinyl Headless Hershel. It manages to be cute and macabre at once. The head comes off. Couldn’t find an exact price for this one, but you can expect it to be very expensive unless you buy it at the con.

SDCC14_TWD1

Exclusive Black and White “Days Gone By” Minimates four-pack from Diamond Select. Commemorating the first comic book storyline. This set will cost $20 and is limited to 3,000 pieces.

Finally, while you’re at Comic-Con, you might as well take part in The Walking Dead Escape. This obstacle course started at the show and is on its third year there at adjoining Petco Park.

Participants can either dress up as a walker or try to escape them as a survivor. You can also just spectate, if you wish. The course will be available July 25 and 26 and you can buy tickets at www.thewalkingdeadescape.com or www.tickets.com.
