I didn't want to talk about this, but With Gimple on board, Daryl's development will be null. Just think about that:

Why did Gimple give Daryl that arc if he ended wasting it? That's something I would like to know. He could give Daryl an interesting arc, but he chose to gave him something he wouldn't use.

In my case, I post pics of Normie just to not get mad about how much Daryl is disrespected by Gimple.

Yeah I agree. They could go so much deeper with his character but they choose to just keep him very two dimensional. Hopefully they don't kill him off this season (agh!) and give him a more interesting trajectory. The quiet loner and bad boy gone good can only last for so long.

I highly doubt Daryl will have an interesting trajectory. Or a trajectory at all. 7A was a bit different because Daryl was a prisoner, but 7B was more or less the same Daryl's arc was since Gimple became showrunner: a backgroung character used to highlight other characters. About the coherence of Daryl's character... well, in the Cell Daryl said Dwight that he understand why Dwight have done the things he did. Last night, Daryl tries to kill Dwight.

Personally, I have accepted that Daryl's just a plot device, at least that's what Gimple does with him. And that's something that doesn't happen just with Daryl. I have the impression that, for Gimple, the characters are a means to an end. What happens to the character doesn't happen because they do something, but because there's a comic plotline that have to happen, no matter logic or coherence.
