Makes me wonder if we can apply the term "ugly American" to a man in his own country....maybe we could make an exception...

Interesting how he thinks this makes him look bad. He needn't worry however since the article also pointed out that his aides have told him that this issue doesn't resonate with his base so it shouldn't effect the midterm elections. Yep, yep that what it all boils down to for them....how it effects the midterms. o_O

Maybe the reason it doesn't 'resonate' with his base is he has spent the better part of his presidency claiming the press is the enemy of the people.

A second "migrant caravan" has formed in Guatemala and is headed to the U.S. These people insisting on coming to the U.S. regardless of the law might end up being the defining event of the Trump presidency.

    "
A second migrant caravan is forming at the Honduran border and is expected to follow the larger caravan of more than 7,000 from Central America towards the U.S.-Mexico border, The Wall Street Journal reported on Tuesday.

The remaining migrants in the first group are about 1,100 miles from the border town of Reynosa, which is across from McAllen, Texas, the paper reported.

Guatemalan authorities on Sunday estimated the new group -- which gathered in a Guatemalan city near the border of Honduras -- to be at 1,000. But the group appears to be growing. The Journal, citing estimates from church-run charities and activists, reported that the group is now made up of about 2,500. By Monday evening the group had entered the eastern Guatemalan town of Chiquimula."

I think Trump is feeling that as well. Yesterday he quoted former President Obama!! to support his position. If that isn't saying he's taking this seriously, I don't know what would.

    "
Trump tweeted a 2005 video in which Obama, then a senator, made a statement against illegal immigration, accompanied by the comment "I agree with President Obama 100%".

"We are a generous and welcoming people here in the United States," Obama says in the 31-second clip. "But those who enter the country illegally and those who employ them disrespect the rule of law and they are showing disregard for those who are following the law. We simply cannot allow people to pour into the United States undetected, undocumented, unchecked, and circumventing the line of people who are waiting patiently, diligently and lawfully to become immigrants into this country.""

Campbell's Soup vs. humanity. Their vp (maybe "former vp") tweeted that Campbell's is providing troop carriers and rail cars to the migrant caravan approaching the U.S. His Twitter account was subsequently deleted and Campbell's is denying everything. What is the truth?

    "
New York (CNN Business)Campbell Soup has disavowed claims made by a company lobbyist that George Soros' foundation is assisting a caravan of migrants bound for the United States.

In a tweet sent on Monday, Kelly Johnston, Campbell's vice president of government affairs, wrote that the Open Society Foundations has arranged for "troop carriers" and "rail cars" to support the caravan, which formed in Central America. Johnston's Twitter account has been deleted, and the tweet is no longer online. New York Times reporter Kenneth Vogel posted a screen grab of Johnston's tweet on Tuesday.
"The opinions Mr. Johnston expresses on Twitter are his individual views and do not represent the position of Campbell Soup Company," a company spokesperson said in a statement on Tuesday."

An image of Trump with a decidedly low level of orange in it. Whose hair is that? Whose skin is that?

Hillary is the one who said you can't be civil with (Republicans) and the only thing they understand is strength. I guess someone decided to show her what the end results of that belief system really are.

But it's not just a lone nut. Come on Morgotha, it's on both sides. I am totally willing to condemn what the left is doing.

Sure, there are nuts on both sides. Like in the "lone nut" category this guy https://www.cnn.com/2018/10/18/politics/utah-ricin-letters-william-clyde-allen/index.html

who sent castor bean (ricin) containing letters to Trump and some other people and the presumed right-wing nut sending something bomblike through the mail to the Clintons, Obama, etc.

I think the "mob" aspect is currently dominated by the Left, but do not deny there are "proud boys" like violent right wing mobs as well.
