That IS interesting. I would think it was a subpoena for for Trump except that they were treating him very gently, trying not to spook him out of at least answering their written questions. This has been in the works for a while since it had time to be bounced down and come back again. I don't think they asked for Don Jr. back then either, unless they were already set to go after their targets. Maybe Pence? Does Trump babble to Pence, I wonder?

I don't understand his saying the FBI didn't give him notice. When I worked in the HHS investigations office, interviewees signed a paper that had a bolded blocked signature space that said they were giving information under penalty of perjury and then cited to the precise law. Our signature space did everything except go AAHHH OOOOOGGAAAAAA. Because it's always the cover-up that gets them.

    Let it be

    Don't lie

A longer stay at Mar a Lago this holiday. Along with higher prices.

You could read into this longer stay many ways.
    - can’t stand the northern cold.
    - more money his business can bilk taxpayers for.
    - plans on shutting down the government for an extended period anyways.
    - planning a war to distract from the investigation.
    - secretly meeting someone there.
    - planning his get away.

I read the memo that Mueller pounced to write in response to that lie. It said several times that he was told ahead of time EXACTLY what was going to be asked during the interview.

He also once said trump didn’t rape his wife because “by definition” you cant rape a spouse. She stopped disclosing after an agreement also. Does that mean Melania can bend him over and go to town and he cant complain.

In California, a spouse can claim rape. It wasn't always that way.

I think they lived in jersey at the time. Not sure about their laws, but should rape be a technicality?

Here's something interesting on the global warming front. China and Europe, both members of the Paris accord are continuing to have their emissions increase, whereas the U.S., who was lambasted for pulling out of the Paris Accord had its emissions DEcrease! Good job USA, and thanks to Trump for pulling us out of an organization that likes to talk and spend, but not fix problems.

    "
“Global emissions need to peak soon and decline steeply to 2020; this decline will now need to be even greater given the increase in emissions in 2017,” the IEA said in its report.

The IEA said Asian countries accounted for two thirds of the global increase in emissions. China’s emissions rose by 1.7 percent to 9.1 gigatons, limited by renewables deployment and more rapid switching to gas from coal.

Most major economies saw an increase in carbon emissions, though Britain, the United States, Mexico and Japan experienced declines.

The biggest drop came from the United States, where they were down 0.5 percent to 4.8 gigatons due to higher renewables deployment. "

I don't think that's a fair assessment. For example, in the article, one thing they want to roll back is having a power plant comply *forever* with strict monitoring requirements even AFTER they fix the problem that the EPA was worried about. To me that means a lot of continued cost for no reason. If they fix the problem, it makes sense their regulatory burden should decrease afterwards.

I'd take an end-of-the-day approach, and say "at the end of the day, are you polluting less or not?" Those that are polluting less shouldn't have to spend millions to comply with regulations that apply to polluters, but people who are polluting SHOULD have to comply. Making everyone comply just raises prices for the consumer.
