    I'm still trying to figure out how smart the zombies are supposed to be. If they really let themselves float down the water and played dead until there were enough of them gathered for an ambush, that's not just basic intelligence, that's coordination and pretty darned good combat strategy.

    Yeah I have a hard time accepting all of those Zombies washing up, looking dead, then suddenly waking up so fast and all at once!

    Z Nation zombies are so courteous and smart. They know how to knock on doors. Not even my brother with a masters degree knows how to do that!

    I just finished watching it and I have to admit I was really entertained. It's not a quality serious drama show like TWD but more like goofy but intense zombie horror (like Return of the Living Dead or Planet Terror) and I am fine with that. I love that style, I grew up on that style.

    The show is pretty unoriginal and has barely defined characters but one thing I did like was DJ Qualls character. He is stuck all alone in a Antarctic Army facility. I like DJ Qualls (Hustle and Flow, Breaking Bad). He is not a great actor but he is a entertaining little dude. I think he will be the break out character of the show.

    The worst part of the show (worse than the baby which was lame) was when they were mercy killing the old lady. All the little girls outside the house flinched BEFORE the sound of gunfire. So lame. Pretty terrible directing/editing.

    I give this premiere a solid C (quality wise it's a D+ at best but it makes up for it an entertainment value).

    I am telling you pretty soon they will be as smart as landsharks on SNL not just knocking on door but saying candygram,etc.

    I love how their eyes are perfectly clear of oil.. Like they had on those goggles you wear in a tanning bed. LMFAO!

    So...zombies would rather go after a tiny, tinkling music box than refinery machinery that's making a ton of noise or a bunch of real, live people that they can hear, smell, and see. Seems legit.

    And then cage girl tossed the magical music box away!

    Haha, yeah that seemed legit. Oh and cage girl is used to being tasered and doesn't go down, seems legit too. lol

    The zombies seemed to be a little slower in this episode you think?

    Yes! I was wondering wtf happened to them. Despite the cheesiness of the makeup, etc., gangs of the "rage-style" fast zombies/infected tend to freak me out. In the first episode, the zombies seemed like a serious threat. Now, in the second episode, people are running circles around the zombies like it's an obstacle course while having conversations with each other.
