This week, the usual procedural filler elements of iZombie gets mixed up when the corpse of the week isn’t entirely dead! Four vapid teens run over a man and attempt to cover it up, without realizing he’s a zombie who is now out for murderous revenge! When the first victim shows up, Liv must eat her brain. The world has survived sociopathic and schizophrenic versions of Liv, but can it handle Airhead Teeny-Bopper Liv?
Here is this week’s piece of art promoting the episode. I would wager Jim Mahfood drew this.
And that’s not actually all! For the first time in several weeks, we get a commentary video from producers Rob Thomas and Diane Ruggiero-Wright. Find out which 1990s movie inspired this week’s episode, which, by the way, airs at the same time all the others did (Tuesday evening at 9/8 Central).
“iZombie” Episode 1.12 – “Dead Rat, Live Rat, Brown Rat, White Rat” (airs 6/2/15)
HIGH SCHOOL REDUX – A group of drunken teenagers take a late night joyride with disasterous consequences. As they cover up the accident, the man mysteriously comes back to life and attacks one of the girls.
After Liv (Rose McIver) consumes the girl’s brain, she is taken back to high school as she and Clive (Malcolm Goodwin) investigate the case. A surprise death of one of the victim’s friends raises some serious questions about the case.
Major (Robert Buckley) believes Blaine’s (David Anders) deli is not all it seems to be. Rahul Kohli also stars. Mairzee Almas directed the episode written by Diane Ruggiero-Wright.
