Fear The Walking Dead Will Be At Least 21 Episodes Long
AMC announced at the TCAs that Fear The Walking Dead had been renewed for a second season. Of course we already knew that; I guess they just wanted to make sure we heard. Did they reveal anything we didn’t know? Actually, yes: they mentioned how many episodes the second season would have.
Fear The Walking Dead’s second season will be 15 episodes long — that is over twice the amount granted to the first season, which has only six. This inaugural season will premiere in a few weeks, on August 23. The second season has no planned release date yet, but it’s projected to premiere somewhere in 2016.
With a cast including Cliff Curtis, Colman Domingo, Ruben Blades, Kim Dickens, Alycia Debnam Carey, Mercedes Mason, Shawn Hatosy, Frank Dillane, Elizabeth Rodriguez, and Lorenzo James Henrie, Fear The Walking Dead will introduce new characters, a new setting (LA) and a new time period (the beginning of the zombie apocalypse) to the Walking Dead franchise. Fear The Walking Dead is overlorded by Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne Hurd, Greg Nicotero, and David Alpert. Dave Erickson is the executive producer and showrunner.
