FTWD Ratings Drop Off In Second Week
After setting cable television ratings records last week for its premiere episode, “Fear The Walking Dead” dropped off considerably in its second week. While the spinoff “companion” series from AMC’s hit show, “The Walking Dead” had premiere episode numerals of 10.1 million viewers, the second episode lopped off a couple million of those viewers to end up with 8.2 million viewers for the second week, still respectable numbers though, and still enough to defeat an NFL pre-season game between Arizona and Oakland airing on NBC that evening to 6.9 million viewers. The Sunday evening ratings race was won by MTV’s VMA awards, which recorded 9.8 million viewers.
“Fear The Walking Dead” takes next Sunday off for the Labor Day holiday weekend and will resume for its third episode on September 13, 2015.
