Next Sunday May Not Be The End of Alexandria
Conflicting reports are coming out about whether we’re in for a big scenery change on The Walking Dead or not. The website Cinemablend analyzed several promo screenshots and came to the conclusion that they hint everyone will be moving on. Seeing as our time in Alexandria is coming close to eclipsing the time spent in other locales like the prison, a lot of fans are expecting something to drive this city to ruin soon, and the zombie invasion would have to be it, right?
Not so fast. Andrew Lincoln was interviewed by Entertainment Weekly and he says it outright: the team stays in Alexandria.
A lot of these concerns and questions get answered relatively quickly in the first two or three episodes of this back eight. There is a time jump, I will say, at some point. And you will see why we stay in Alexandria.
Within the same breath, of course, he also reveals a time jump is on the way. Maybe we’ll turn on the show next Sunday and see this:
(Rick and Michonne stand on a peaceful street, with little noise but the rustling of the wind and the chirping of birds)
Rick: “Hey, remember when all those Walkers were attacking us two years ago?”
Michonne: “Yup. Sure glad we got out of THAT one!”
…..yeah, probably not, unless the producers want to die. The Walking Dead returns February 12.
