The Walking Dead Averaged More Than Half a Million Tweets an Episode in 2014
It was already reported that The Walking Dead was the king of Twitter in 2014, but a new report from ratings gurus Nielsen breaks down just how dominant it was.
According to the report, The Walking Dead averaged 576,000 tweets per episode, counting the three hour window before and after the show was broadcast. About 4.93 million people saw at least one of these tweets before 9 a.m.
The only show that came close to The Walking Dead was ABC Family’s Pretty Little Liars, which averaged 489,000 tweets an episode. Scandal was third, with 391,000 tweets.
