I can't change my avatar with the update. I know this had to be difficult and I appreciate your hard work and dedication on this site. I really am bummed by what happened hopefully this site will feel like home again. -TWT1

 

I still find that too cumbersome. People should be able to see who is rating others' posts. But I understand that feature may be installed in the future, so I'm not complaining.

 

If i try to change my avatar, it initially accepts the change, and then just immediately changes it back to L Ron Hubbaby.

 

Just want to pass on how I was able to change my avatar.

On the top right, hover over your name. Click on avatar. On that page, where it says, "what is Gravitar", click. It will open a new page. Set up an account. To add a photo, I used one from a saved picture. I changed the size to 200 x 200 in pixal in my paint and saved. (in my downloads right now, but will move it to my forum pics later)
Then loaded the saved pic to Gravitar. Underneath the picture, will be your email address. Copy that and paste in the Gravitar on your avi page. I tested first and it worked. Make sure though, that you click the dot, that you are going to use Gravitar. (took me 3 times before I realized I didn't).
Then click save.

Same thing happens with mine too. It won't replace with new image just the old one. I used gravatar too. It can't find my email. I'm about to give up.

BUG: In the walkingdeadform NEWS section, I can open things and look in there, but at the bottom instead of the little replay area it says I have insufficient privileges to post in there. I was looking specifically at the Kirkman topic.

 

Is it possible that some threads got lost? I miss one that I've created a few days/before the change

I can't upload my avatar that worked well before. It's 202 pixels but I receive the "permission denied" notification.

Gravatar doesn't work for me. Wasted almost an hour trying and can't even delete my account there. So annoying and irritating. Why wasting time for extremely complicated things that don't work? Never again.

I can't set up an avatar. Just keep getting a error messages

 

Just a few suggestions.

1. Custom user titles that change when you hit a certain post count. I'm not sure if the old Zombie _______ badges could be coded in to go under the user names or not.

2. Set up a place where people can donate to the site if they choose. Create a new user group that automatically adds features such as colored user names/titles and maybe even larger avis. It also wouldn't hurt my feeling to see the advertisements removed for those willing to pay.

3. Dark forum skin.

4. A contest for members to create a new top banner for the site that would obviously have to be TWD related graphics that include the name of the forum. It could even be coded to have rotating banners.

 

Are groups dead and gone forever or might they make a comeback (either as restored versions of their old selves or as a "new" function)?

 

Yes, as a group editor and member of three groups, I hope they'll be restored soon.
